From the very first moment it was crystal clear: Paralympic sports, and in particular para-shooting, would become an important part of our project! One of our founders has been working passionately for years as a trainer for Wapper VZW. This was the perfect basis for our collaboration.

Classification:

At the Paralympic Games, this sport is reserved for individuals with a physical disability.

One distinguishes three disability classes:

SH1 (pistol): shooters with lower limb and/or upper limb impairments that do not hold the gun. They can carry the weight of their weapon.
SH1 (carbine): shooters with lower limb impairments who can bear the weight of their weapon.
SH2 (carbine): shooters with upper limb impairment who use an approved weapon support.

International Federation

Shooting sports is coordinated by the International Paralympic Committee. This federation applies the regulations of the International Shooting Sport Federation.

Classification:

The classification system of athletes distinguishes between three categories:

Open: athletes in wheelchairs with loss of function in the legs or upright athletes with balance disorders.
W1: athletes in wheelchairs with loss of function in the legs and arms, and limited trunk control.
V1, V2/3: athletes with visual impairment (blind or visually impaired).

International Federation:

World Archery (WA) coordinates archery at the international level. The International Federation determines competition and classification rules in cooperation with the IPC (International Paralympic Committee).
